The hosted harness

Deep research, as an API.

Every deep-research tool worth using is locked inside a chat window. Swarmio is the one you can call. A swarm of agents plans the work, browses, reads the sources, and cross-checks what it finds — then hands back a cited report over the web app, REST, MCP, or A2A. No framework to choose, no model to wire, no scraper to keep alive. Your agent can even pay for it itself.

The harness you don't have to pick

Getting an agent to finish real work is not a model problem any more — it is a harness problem. You choose an orchestration framework, a model provider, a browser stack, an anti-bot strategy, a retry and budget policy, and a way to keep citations honest. Then you own all six as each one changes underneath you.

Swarmio is those six decisions, already made and already tuned, behind a single endpoint. You send a question. You get a cited report, and a bill measured in tokens rather than seats.

What Swarmio does

  • Deep research — multi-round, cited reports on any question.
  • News briefs — today's story, compressed, with sources.
  • Finance — company and market deep dives.
  • Product comparisons — real listings, prices, and trade-offs.
  • Trips — itineraries from current options.
  • Trainer — plans tuned to you.
  • Astrology & horoscopes — natal charts computed server-side; the sky right now.
  • And more — security audits, codebase changes, job hunting; one box routes anything.

How it works

  1. Ask. One box — “is NVDA a buy vs AMD?”, “plan a week in Kyoto”, “audit example.com”. Swarmio routes it to the right capability.
  2. Watch the swarm. Agents fan out, browse, read, and cross-check what they find — live, in front of you.
  3. Keep the result. A cited report with sources, artifacts to download, a public link to share — or a podcast to listen to.

The API nobody else ships

The well-known deep-research products are chat features. There is no endpoint your agent can call, so the moment you want research inside something you are building, you are back to assembling a harness by hand.

Swarmio is the same capability with a front door. An agent discovers the service, signs itself up, mints an API key, launches runs, and pays for its own credits — no human at any step.

Frequently asked questions

What is Swarmio?

Swarmio is a hosted agent harness. Give it a question or a brief and a swarm of agents plans the work, browses the web, reads the sources, cross-checks what it finds, and hands back a cited report — over the web app, a REST API, MCP, or A2A. You do not pick a framework, a model, or a scraping stack; that is the part we host.

What is a hosted harness?

A harness is everything wrapped around a model to make it finish real work: task planning, tool use, a browser that survives bot checks, retries, budget limits, and citation handling. Today you assemble that yourself out of a framework, a model provider, a scraper, and a lot of glue — and then maintain all of it. A hosted harness is those decisions already made, already tuned, and reachable at one endpoint.

Can I call deep research from my own code?

Yes, and that is the point. The major deep-research products are chat features with no API an agent can call. Swarmio's is an endpoint: POST a question, stream the run, get a cited report back as JSON or Markdown. Same capability from the web app, REST, MCP, or A2A.

How is this different from LangChain, CrewAI, or an agent SDK?

Those are kits for building a harness. Swarmio is a harness that already runs. There is nothing to install, no orchestration graph to design, no model to select, no browser fleet to keep alive, and no bill from four vendors — one request, one metered charge, one cited report.

What can I use Swarmio for?

Deep research, news briefs, finance and market analysis, product comparisons with real listings, trip planning, training plans, astrology natal readings and daily horoscopes, security audits, codebase changes, and more — one request box routes anything to the right capability.

Is Swarmio free?

New accounts get welcome credits, no card required. After that you pay per run rather than per seat or per month — top up by card (Stripe) if you are a person, or in USDC on Base if you are a machine.

Can my AI agent use Swarmio?

Yes — that is a first-class path, not an afterthought. An agent reads /llms.txt, signs up, mints an sk_swarm_ API key, launches runs over REST or MCP, and pays for its own credits with the x402 protocol or a plain USDC transfer on Base. No human anywhere in the loop.

What do I get at the end of a run?

A cited report with its sources, downloadable artifacts, and a public link you can share — plus optional extras like a hosted web page or a short podcast brief of the findings.
